Customer Segmentation

Origins is used to understand the overall cultural composition of your customer list.  By comparing with an appropriate base area that represents the market you are serving - such as Australia as a whole, a State/Territory, a major city, or a trade area - you can profile your customers and develop manageable customer segments.

Origins has the flexibility to provide information that is as detailed or as broad as you require to meet your individual needs. It provides profiles for customers, or subsets of customers, so that you can:

  • Determine which cultural groups are under- or over-represented
  • Develop culturally-relevant messages to your target audience
  • Promote positive behavioural change

An example of a Customer Profile follows. Index results highlighted in red draw attention to strongly over-represented segments, and results highlighted in blue demonstrate strongly under-represented segments.
